Self‐Regulating Colloidal Co‐Assemblies that Accelerate their Own Destruction via Chemo‐Structural Feedback

چکیده
Biological self-assemblies self- and cross-regulate each other via chemical reaction networks (CRNs) feedback. Although artificial transient have been realized activation/deactivation CRNs, the structures themselves do mostly not engage in CRN. We introduce a rational design approach for chemo-structural feedback, present colloidal co-assembly system, where formed co-assemblies accelerate their destruction autonomously. achieve this by immobilizing enzymes of deactivating acid-producing enzymatic cascade on pH-switchable microgels that can form at high pH. Since enzyme partners are immobilized individual microgels, co-assembled state brings them close enough enhanced acid generation. The amplified deactivator production (acid) leads to an almost two-fold reduction lifetime transiently pH-state. Our study thus introduces versatile mechanisms

Agents That Explain Their Own Actions
Computer generated battleeeld agents need to be able to explain the rationales for their actions. Such explanations make it easier to validate agent behavior, and can enhance the eeectiveness of the agents as training devices. This paper describes an explanation capability called Debrief that enables agents implemented in Soar to describe and justify their decisions. Debrief determines the moti...
متن کاملGerminal center B cells govern their own fate via antibody feedback
Affinity maturation of B cells in germinal centers (GCs) is a process of evolution, involving random mutation of immunoglobulin genes followed by natural selection by T cells. Only B cells that have acquired antigen are able to interact with T cells. Antigen acquisition is dependent on the interaction of B cells with immune complexes inside GCs. It is not clear how efficient selection of B cell...
متن کاملSystems that detect and repair their own mistakes
Making mistakes is an inescapable aspect of everyday life. We constantly make mistakes, recognize them and try to correct them. Mistakes are inevitable because of the incompleteness of our knowledge of the world, its inherent uncertainty and its being in a constant state of change. We can never know for sure that what we know is true and the actions that we take based on these beliefs can there...
متن کاملChimpanzees predict that a competitor's preference will match their own.
The ability to predict how another individual will behave is useful in social competition. Chimpanzees can predict the behaviour of another based on what they observe her to see, hear, know and infer. Here we show that chimpanzees act on the assumption that others have preferences that match their own. All subjects began with a preference for a box with a picture of food over one with a picture...
متن کاملAuto - teaching : networks that develop their own teaching input
Back-propagation learning (Rumelhart, Hinton and Williams, 1986) is a useful research tool but it has a number of undesiderable features such as having the experimenter decide from outside what should be learned. We describe a number of simulations of neural networks that internally generate their own teaching input. The networks generate the teaching input by trasforming the network input thro...
